Student Government Association (SGA) at GPTC
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the official voice of the student body at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. It offers students opportunities to develop leadership skills, enhance campus life, and foster constructive dialogue among students, faculty, staff, and the community.
SGA Executive Board
The SGA is led by an Executive Board comprising elected student officers. Elections are held each spring for the following positions:
- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Participating in SGA elections is an excellent way to influence campus decisions and engage with the college community.
Leadership Development Programs
Student Activities Volunteer Extraordinaire (S.A.V.E.)
For students interested in participating without holding an official position, the S.A.V.E. program offers opportunities to volunteer in activities and events sponsored by SGA and the Office of Student Activities. This program requires minimal commitment and provides a chance to get involved.
Emerging Leaders Program
Designed for students aspiring to hold leadership positions in the future, this program offers leadership training and responsibilities to prepare individuals for future roles within SGA.
SGA Meetings
When: First Monday of each month at 1 p.m.
Where: Room A-214 on the DeKalb Campus

All students are encouraged to attend these meetings. If you have topics you'd like to discuss, please contact SGA via email at sga@gptc.edu.
Engaging with the SGA is a valuable way to enhance your college experience, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the GPTC community.
