Unlock Your Civilian Career with Army Credentialing Assistance
Transitioning from active duty to civilian employment is a significant step. Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC) is here to help you bridge that gap by offering training programs funded through the Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) program. This initiative provides eligible Soldiers with up to $4,000 per fiscal year to pursue industry-recognized certifications in high-demand fields.
Am I Eligible for Army CA?
You may qualify for Army CA funding if you:
- Meet basic Federal Tuition Assistance (TA) eligibility requirements
- Are not flagged under provisions of AR 600-8-2
- Are not a contracted ROTC scholarship cadet or a Green to Gold ROTC program cadet
- Can complete your credential program before separating from the Army

GPTC offers a variety of Army CA-approved courses designed to enhance your professional skills and prepare you for civilian careers. Many of these programs are available online, allowing you to learn at your own pace and from anywhere.

Steps to Get Started
- Verify Your Eligibility: Consult with your Education Counselor.
- Select a Certification Program: Choose from the list of approved courses.
- Submit a CA Request: Complete the Credentialing Assistance Request form.
- Sign the Statement of Understanding: Acknowledge the terms and conditions.
- Activate Your GoArmyEd Account: Ensure your account is active.
- Submit Your Credential Plan: Finalize your education plan for approval.
Note: The approval and enrollment process may take up to 30 days, so it's advisable to start early.
