Complete International Admissions Forms
Certification of Immigrant or Non-immigrant Status
Present an original document certifying immigrant or non-immigrant status.- Passport
- Visa
Financial Statements
- Notarized Affidavit of Support showing that you have funds to finance your education.
- Certified statement from your bank, (sponsors bank), showing that the required funds are available. ($20,494.00 U.S.D.)
- Additional documents substantiating your ability to support yourself/student financially.
Transcripts
- Submit Official English translation of High School transcript with document by document evaluation, ATTN: International Student Office.
- Visit the International Transcript Evaluation page for more information.
- Submit Official English translation of College/University transcripts with course by course evaluation, ATTN: International Student Office.
- English translation, document by document and course by course evaluations required by an Independent Evaluation Service.
- Photocopies and faxes are not acceptable.
Proof of Health Insurance
- Submit proof of current health insurance coverage.
Tuition Fees
- Pay one semester tuition ($400 per credit hour) and fees totaling $6,359.00 to Georgia Piedmont Technical College (15 credit hours). Note: Tuition is subject to change.
- Pay SEVIS Fee prior to interview with U.S. Consulate.
Transfer Student Clearance Form
- Submit Transfer Clearance Form to your Advisor at your current school, if applicable.
Proof of College Assessments
- Satisfactory scores on the Accuplacer, SAT, ACT, or the ASSET Test as proof of proficiency in the English language.
- The Accuplacer Test includes English, reading, and mathematics. Its purpose is to determine if a prospective student needs additional basic skills or courses before beginning a planned program of study.

Financial Requirements and Documentation
The following are the documents that Georgia Piedmont Tech will require/review in order to determine International student financial support. Tuition and fees are subject to change yearly. Without a U.S. sponsor and after meeting all admission requirements:- Student must pay $6,359.00 to Georgia Piedmont Tech for tuition and fees (1 semester) prior to the I-20 being issued (this does not include books, housing, transportation, etc). This amount is refundable if the student does not obtain the F-1/M-1 visa. Estimated books and supplies are $550 per semester and estimated living expenses can range from $800 to $1200 per month. The total amount that Georgia Piedmont Tech puts on the I-20 is $20,494.00 for total cost to attend school for 8 months or 2 semesters.
- Student and/or parents must show that funds are available to support the student while in the United States. This can be done by submitting the following:
- Bank statement or bank letter showing you have funds to finance student's education. See below for suggested wording.
- Other documents that prove that you could support the student.
- A notarized letter from the bank indicating that you have sufficient means to cover educational and living expenses for the student.
- Include a Notarized Affidavit of Support from the student/sponsor/parents indicating your support of the student. This statement must be notarized by an official notary. See below for suggested wording.
- Student must pay $6,359.00 to Georgia Piedmont Tech for tuition and fees (1 semester) prior to the I-20 being issued (this does not include books, housing, transportation, etc). - Sponsor must show that they have funds available to support the student while in the U.S. The following are ways to show this:
- Submit bank statements or letter from bank.
- Submit a copy of your latest tax return.
- Request your employer write a letter stating how long you have been working and your salary information.
- Submit your last pay statement/wage stub.
- Include a Notarized Affidavit of Support from the student/sponsor/parents indicating your support of the student. This statement must be notarized by an official notary.
Suggested Wording for Letters
__________(Sponsors/Student/Parent name)_________has an account with this bank. The account is in good standing and reflects a minimum balance of $19,998 (U.S. Dollars). The letter must be:- On bank letterhead
- In English
- Signed by an official of the bank with contact information included
- Submitted in an enclosed, sealed envelope with an unbroken Bank’s seal on the envelope flap.
