High School Equivalency
For over 50 years, Georgia Piedmont Technical College has offered adult literacy and High School Equivalency (HSE) test preparation courses to Georgia residents who haven't completed high school. As part of the Technical College System of Georgia, we provide these classes at no cost to our students. Additionally, students enrolled in basic skills or GED® and HiSET® test prep courses who are also pursuing a career pathway may be eligible for financial aid.
We offer several options for achieving your High School Equivalency (HSE). We provide two computer-based testing (CBT) pathways: the GED® test and the HiSET® exam, which can be taken at a testing center or proctored at home. In addition, we offer a program called CareerPlus, which allows students (18 and older) to earn both a high school diploma and college credentials at the same time. This workforce-based solution helps students gain the skills they need for successful careers.
